Lasting for three years, the Clone Wars were fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems (also known as the Separatists). The Republic's clone army, led by Jedi Generals, battled against the droid armies of the Separatists, led by Sith Lords like Count Dooku and General Grievous. The Clone Wars were a crucial period in galactic history, setting the stage for the rise of the Galactic Empire and the fall of the Jedi Order.
